While in the Scottish capital, embark on our Outlander tour through Edinburgh to see iconic sites from the series.

What to Expect

Meet us at 351 High Street, near St. Giles Cathedral, to start our tour through the city and enter the world of Outlander.

We'll walk to the Royal Mile while discussing Scotland's 18th-century history. Claire Randall finds herself in this period, thanks to the Craig Na Dun stone circle.

A key site we will visit is Bakehouse Close, where the printing press company that Jamie Fraser worked at is located. This is also where the main characters reunite after 20 years. It is a great opportunity to take a picture next to the iconic staircase.

Next, we’ll visit Canongate Tolbooth, a former courthouse and prison that served as a filming location in Edinburgh for many Outlander scenes. Here, we’ll also explore Tweeddale Court, where Claire encounters Fergus again in season 3.

Throughout the tour, we will discuss traditional Scottish traditions, including Gaelic, which Jamie speaks in the series. Fans of the show may already know the word Sassenach.

After nearly 2 hours of exploration, we will conclude our Outlander tour near Holyrood Palace along the Royal Mile.
