While in the Scottish capital, embark on our Outlander tour through Edinburgh to see iconic sites from the hit series.
What to Expect
Meet us at 351 High Street, near St. Giles Cathedral, to begin our tour through the Scottish capital.
We will start by walking to the renowned Royal Mile while discussing Scotland's history from the 18th century, the period where Claire Randall finds herself due to the Craig Na Dun stone circle.
A key site we will visit is Bakehouse Close, the location of the printing press company where Jamie Fraser worked, and where the main characters reunite after 20 years. This is an ideal spot for a picture by the iconic staircase.
Next, we will proceed to Canongate Tolbooth, which served as a courthouse and prison, featuring in several Outlander scenes filmed in Edinburgh. Additionally, we will visit Tweeddale Court, where Claire meets Fergus again in season 3.
Along the tour, we will also cover traditional Scottish traditions, including Gaelic, the language used by Jamie throughout the series. Fans may already know a few words, such as Sassenach.
After nearly 2 hours of exploration and immersion in the 18th century, we will conclude our Outlander tour near Holyrood Palace along the Royal Mile.
