St. Andrews & Fife's Fishing Villages Day Trip

At 9 am, we'll depart from the meeting point indicated and leave Edinburgh crossing the Forth Bridge towards Fife. We'll pass through the village of Aberdour and continue to the East Neuk of Fife. This coastal area features small harbours that were once vital to Scotland's East coast fishing trade.

Along the coast, we'll stop in Anstruther to visit the Scottish Fisheries Museum. Next, we'll visit the villages of Pittenweem, Crail, and St. Monans, which were important fishing centres.

We'll arrive in St. Andrews, where you will have three hours of free time for lunch and exploring the cobbled streets and medieval facades. Key attractions include the oldest university in Scotland, the impressive cathedral, and the famous golf course.

Afterward, we'll return to Edinburgh, traveling across the Lomond hills and stopping in Falkland, a village featured in the Outlander series. We'll also pass by Loch Leven, a filming location for a scene involving Mary Queen of Scots. Our last stop before reaching Edinburgh will be South Queensferry.

We'll arrive back in Edinburgh at 5:45 pm.
