Jordan's most important archaeological site and a World Heritage desert are the focus of this 2-day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum.

Itinerary

Day 1: Eilat - Aqaba - Wadi Rum

We will meet in Eilat and take a bus to Aqaba, Jordan. The tour includes a visit to the grand mosque and a 16th-century Ottoman fortress with views of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. After some free time for lunch, we will proceed to Wadi Rum for a 4x4 tour to explore its landscapes. We will spend the night at a camp, enjoy the desert sunset, and have dinner.

Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra - Eilat

The second day includes a two-hour drive to Petra. You can buy a picnic for breakfast on the bus. The guided tour of Petra covers its history, including the Nabataeans and their relationship with the Roman Empire. Key sites include the Tomb of the Obelisks, Theatre, and Treasury. Two hours of free time at Petra will be provided, followed by lunch. We will return to Israel, arriving in Eilat around 19:30.

The tour includes one night at Magic Rum Camp, with options for a standard double room or a superior room resembling a space tent. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and wifi. If unavailable, a similar camp will be provided.
