Petra and Wadi Rum 2-Day Tour from Eilat

Jordan's most important archaeological site and a World Heritage desert are the focus of this 2-day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum.

Itinerary

Day 1: Eilat - Aqaba - Wadi Rum

At the appointed time, we will meet in Eilat and, aboard a bus, we will enter Jordan to visit Aqaba. We will explore the narrow streets and see the grand mosque known for its white color. Our tour includes the 16th-century Ottoman fortress which offers views of the border crossing of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. After exploring Aqaba, you will have free time for lunch, then we will proceed to Wadi Rum for a desert safari.

A 4x4 tour of Wadi Rum will unveil the landscapes of the Valley of the Moon, which served as a filming location for the Star Wars saga. We will conclude the day at the camp, enjoy the sunset, and have dinner.

Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra - Eilat

The second day involves visiting Petra, a two-hour drive from Wadi Rum. You may purchase a picnic for breakfast during the journey.

The guided tour of Petra covers the history of this site, known as the Rose City. We will learn about the Nabataeans and their connections to the Roman Empire. Key sites include the Tomb of the Obelisks, the Theatre, and the Treasury. You will have two hours of free time at the site.

After lunch, we will return to Israel, with an arrival time at the departure point in Eilat scheduled for 19:30.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night at Magic Rum Camp. Guests can choose between a standard double room or a superior option resembling a space tent. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and wifi. If unavailable, a similar camp will be provided.

Pick-up is included from various meeting points in Eilat. The booking process will provide a list of available locations for your preferred starting point.
