Desert Lake Excursion + Vespignani Glacier Trek

You will be picked up from your hotel in El Calafate at the scheduled time for a bus excursion to El Chaltén, with a break at the La Leona River.

After a three-hour drive, we will reach El Chaltén and travel along an impressive panoramic road through dense forests to the serene Desert Lake. Here, you will enjoy a half-hour boat trip to view the Huemul and Creston glaciers up close.

Upon disembarking at the foot of the Vespignani glacier, we will start a trekking route in the nature reserve. The walk will take 15-45 minutes, depending on the difficulty of the trail selected.

After taking in the Patagonian landscape and views of the north face of Mount Fitz Roy, we will have lunch before returning by boat to the bus for the trip back to El Calafate.

This excursion lasts 14 hours, concluding with your return to the hotel.
