Excursion to El Chaltén and Mirador Condores
At the arranged time, we will collect you from your accommodation in El Calafate and embark on the renowned Route 40. This scenic road will guide us through the stunning vistas of Patagonia, passing by the lovely Lake Argentino and crossing the charming Santa Cruz and La Leona rivers.
We will make a quick stop to stretch beside the La Leona river before continuing along Route 40, accompanied by the picturesque Lake Viedma, with the impressive Andes Mountains serving as a backdrop. Our road adventure culminates in the well-known mountain community of El Chaltén, where we will stop at the Interpretation Centre. From this point, we will set out on a delightful, easy hike that lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
Upon reaching the trail’s conclusion, the renowned Mirador de los Cóndores will greet us, offering a stunning view of Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy. This vantage point also provides spectacular sightings of the nearby glacial formations.
After capturing those unforgettable pictures, we will trek back to El Chaltén for a tasty lunch at a local eatery. The meal includes a main dish and a non-alcoholic drink, with the option of sparkling or mineral water. Following lunch, another short hike of 30 minutes will lead us to the charming Chorrillo del Salto waterfall. Ensure you have your camera handy to document the beauty of these exquisite cascades!
Once we have savored the beauty of the waterfall, we will return on foot to El Chaltén, where you will enjoy an hour of free time to explore the town at your leisure. We will then regroup for our return journey to El Calafate, with an expected arrival at your hotel between 8 and 9 pm.
