If you're seeking a unique experience in Argentina, especially in the realm of rural tourism, the Estancia El Galpón farmhouse offers numerous activities that allow you to immerse yourself in the traditional Argentinian lifestyle.

Pickup from your hotels will commence at 4:30 pm, leading you to the farm in a mere 20 minutes. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a 100% homemade snack.

Next, we will explore the farm and observe the sheep grazing, accompanied by gauchos (horseriders) and herding dogs.

After meeting the local cattle, enjoy a brief walk along the shores of Lake Argentino, where you will learn about Patagonian wildlife and listen to the melodic sounds of singing birds.

The following segment includes a visit to a 1912 barn, where you'll discover the processes of sheep shearing and the standards of wool quality.

Dinner is served! Estancia El Galpón will provide a typical Patagonian roast lamb dish accompanied by a variety of salads and vegetables. After dinner, we will return to your hotels in El Calafate, expected to arrive by around 10 pm.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Your experience will start with a hotel pickup at 4:30 pm, leading directly to Estancia El Galpón, located just 20 minutes away. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a homemade snack before embarking on a tour of the farm, where you'll have the chance to engage with sheep, learn about their grazing habits alongside gauchos, and meet local cattle.

During the walk by Lake Argentino, you will gain insight into the local Patagonian wildlife through guided observation of the area. This will be followed by a visit to a historical 1912 barn, focusing on the practices of sheep shearing and understanding wool quality.
