Estancia Cristina Hike & Boat Tour

We'll start the tour by picking you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and heading towards Estancia Cristina.

We'll arrive at the Punta Bandera quay after about an hour's drive, where we'll hop on a boat for a 2.5-hour ride to Estancia Cristina. This cruise allows you to admire the Upsala Glacier from the water.

Upon arrival at Estancia Cristina, you'll board an offroading vehicle driven by your guide to head to a viewpoint for views of the glacier and the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.

Next, we'll embark on a 14-kilometre hike through the Cañadón de los Fósiles, where your guide will point out significant fossils. Halfway through, we'll pause for a full lunch, including two sandwiches, a biscuit, fruit, and water. The hike will conclude at Estancia Cristina by 5:30 pm.

Finally, we'll sail back to Punta Bandera, and the vehicle will take us back to El Calafate, arriving at your hotels after approximately 12.5 hours.

Tour without Transfers

If you prefer traveling to Estancia Cristina on your own, you can book without transfers. In this case, meet your guide at the pier at Estancia, located at Punta Bandera, at 8:15 am. The return boat will drop you off at 7 pm.
