Thinking about visiting the Los Glaciares National Park? Before you do, you should visit the Glaciarium, a place where you can find out all about the origins of Patagonian glaciers. Discover it all at the Glacier Interpretation Centre!

Why Visit the Glaciarium?

Visiting the Glaciarium is the way to learn about the origins of Patagonian glaciers. You'll explore two halls that present information about Patagonian ice, including the sound of melting ice and photographs of glaciers taken by various photographers. There are interactive screens showing the problems caused by climate change in areas like the Upsala glacier.

You can also experience a flight over the glaciers in the Glaciarium cinema. The film lasts about two hours, and you can view it for as long as desired.

Your ticket includes a transfer service from El Calafate to the Glaciarium, departing from the Secretaría de Turismo office at the Municipal Parking Lot on Calle Primero de Mayo (next to Avenida del Libertador San Martín).

Opening Times

The Glaciarium is open every day from 12 pm to 7 pm.
