Do you want to sail across Lake Argentino and hike through the Los Glaciares National Park? This tour includes hiking and sailing through these icy landscapes.
Tour Details
This trip allows you to explore the Los Glaciares National Park through hiking trails and boat sailing. After a hotel pickup, you'll head to the port of Punta Bandera to begin your boat trip along the Canal de los Témpanos of Lake Argentino.
The first stop will be at Toro Bay, where you'll embark on a 45-minute hike in the Patagonian forest. You will see various tree species, including a century-old guindo tree with a trunk over three metres in diameter. The hike continues towards a waterfall for a rest before returning to the boat to approach the hanging glaciers of Cerro Negro and Cerro Mayo. This part includes an hour of hiking among icy mountains, with breaks for enjoying the scenery and meals.
The next sailing segment will take you to the Perito Moreno glacier for one hour of free time to explore the footbridges with views of the ice wall, nearly 80 metres high.
The tour concludes with a return to Punta Bandera, then a transfer back to El Calafate, totaling 10 hours.
Tour Without Transport
This activity can also be booked without transport for a reduced price. If chosen, participants must arrive at the port of Punta Bandera by 9 am on the activity day. The meeting point is at the Solo Patagonia dock.
