Do you want to sail across Lake Argentino and hike through the Los Glaciares National Park? This tour includes hiking and sailing through these icy landscapes.
Description
This trip offers the chance to explore Los Glaciares National Park with a combination of hiking trails and boat sailing, allowing you to appreciate the landscapes of Patagonia. After pickup from your hotel, we will proceed to the port of Punta Bandera to start a boat trip along the Canal de los Témpanos in Lake Argentino.
Our first stop is at Toro Bay, where we will embark on a 45-minute hike to explore the wildlife of the Patagonian forest. The hike includes viewing various tree species and a notable century-old guindo tree. The return journey includes a visit to a waterfall and extends towards the hanging glaciers of Cerro Negro and Cerro Mayo, featuring a one-hour steep walk among the glaciers.
Following this, we will sail towards the Perito Moreno glacier, famous for its 80-metre high ice wall, where you will have an hour of free time to explore the footbridges. The tour concludes back at the port of Punta Bandera, with a vehicle returning you to El Calafate after approximately 10 hours.
