Marvel at the icebergs of Los Glaciares National Park on this excursion from El Calafate, including a boat ride through the area.

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate and travel along National Route 11, enjoying views of Lake Argentino. After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at the pier of Puerto Bandera to embark on a boat ride to see the glaciers. We will enter the northern arm of Lake Argentino and cross Boca del Diablo while viewing a large group of icebergs.

The journey continues to the great ice barrier to observe detachment from the Upsala Glacier, followed by passing the Heim, Peineta, Seco, and Spegazzini glaciers. We will dock in front of the Spegazzini Glacier for a brief low-intensity hike near Glacier Bay. The trail leads to Spegazzini Refuge, where you can have lunch. We will regroup to return by boat to Puerto Bandera and then return to your hotel in El Calafate, completing a 10-hour excursion.
