Los Glaciares National Park Boat Excursion

Marvel at the icebergs of Los Glaciares National Park on this excursion from El Calafate. You'll also enjoy a pleasant boat ride through this great natural space.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate and take National Route 11. After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive at the pier of Puerto Bandera to embark on a boat ride to see the glaciers. We will enter the northern arm of Lake Argentino and cross the Boca del Diablo (Devil's Mouth). Here, we will see a large group of icebergs with their intense bluish tones.

The journey continues to the great ice barrier, viewing the detachments of the Upsala Glacier, the largest in the park, and passing by Heim, Peineta, Seco, and Spegazzini glaciers. We will dock at Spegazzini Glacier for a brief low-intensity hike next to Glacier Bay.

The trail leads to the Spegazzini Refuge for lunch (not included). We will regroup to return by boat to the pier of Puerto Bandera and then head back to your hotel in El Calafate, completing a 10-hour excursion.
