Marvel at the icebergs of Los Glaciares National Park on this excursion from El Calafate. You'll also enjoy a pleasant boat ride through this great natural space.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate and take National Route 11. This road runs parallel to Lake Argentino, providing excellent views of Patagonia's largest lagoon.

After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive at the pier of Puerto Bandera to begin a boat ride to see the glaciers. We'll enter the northern arm of Lake Argentino, crossing the Boca del Diablo. While enjoying stunning landscapes, we'll view a large group of icebergs known for their bluish tones.

We'll continue to the great ice barrier, observing detachment events from the Upsala Glacier, the largest in the park. The route passes next to Heim, Peineta, Seco, and Spegazzini glaciers, the highest. We'll dock in front of the Spegazzini glacier for a brief low-intensity hike next to Glacier Bay.

The trail leads to the Spegazzini Refuge, where you can have lunch on your own. Afterward, we'll regroup for the return boat ride to the pier of Puerto Bandera. We will return to your hotel in El Calafate, completing a 10-hour excursion.
