Marvel at the icebergs of Los Glaciares National Park on this excursion from El Calafate. Enjoy a pleasant boat ride through this natural space.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate and take National Route 11, enjoying views of Lake Argentino. After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive at the pier of Puerto Bandera to embark on a boat ride to see the glaciers.
The journey begins by entering the northern arm of Lake Argentino, crossing the Boca del Diablo (Devil's Mouth), where we'll see a large group of icebergs with their bluish tones. Our route will continue to the great ice barrier, observing the detachments of the Upsala Glacier and passing near the Heim, the Peineta, the Seco, and the Spegazzini glacier. We'll dock in front of the Spegazzini glacier for a brief low-intensity hike next to Glacier Bay.
The trail leads to the Spegazzini Refuge for a self-arranged lunch. After regrouping, we’ll take the boat back to the pier of Puerto Bandera and return to your hotel in El Calafate after a 10-hour excursion.
