Walking across an ice field is a unique experience that you'll never forget. Join us on our Perito Moreno Glacier Hike & Boat Trip for a memorable day in Los Glaciares National Park.

Hike & Boat Trip Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate at the scheduled time and depart westbound along National Route 11. After a 1-hour journey, we will arrive at the Bajo las Sombras port. From there, we’ll embark on a boat trip through Los Glaciares National Park.

We will spend 20 minutes sailing through the southern part of Lake Argentino in the Brazo Rico area before disembarking on the other side. After gearing up in our crampons, we will begin a 4-hour hike on the south face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, seeing blue lagoons, deep crevasses, and sinkholes.

During the hike, we’ll make several stops to admire the Dos Picos, Pietrobelli, and Cervantes mountains, allowing for leisure time, including 30 minutes to relax on the snow — remember to bring your packed lunch!

After lunch, a 1-hour hike will take us to the shore of Lake Argentino. Upon arrival, we will sail approximately 4 miles (7 km) to the footbridges of the Perito Moreno glacier before returning to the Bajo Las Sombras port and heading back to your hotel in El Calafate, with an estimated duration of 12 hours.
