Walking across an ice field is a unique experience. Join us on our Perito Moreno Glacier Hike & Boat Trip in Los Glaciares National Park.
Hike & Boat Trip Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate and depart west along National Route 11. After a 1-hour journey, we will arrive at the Bajo las Sombras port. From here, we will embark on a boat trip through Los Glaciares National Park.
We will sail for 20 minutes through the southern part of Lake Argentino in Brazo Rico, disembarking on the other side. Here, we will put on our crampons and begin a 4-hour hike on the south face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, observing blue lagoons, crevasses, and sinkholes.
Several stops will allow you to admire the Dos Picos, Pietrobelli, and Cervantes mountains at your leisure. You will also have 30 minutes of free time to relax on the snow. Bring your packed lunch.
After lunch, we will continue with a 1-hour hike to the shore of Lake Argentino. We will then travel between the two glaciers, sailing about 4 miles (7 km) to the footbridges of the Perito Moreno.
After exploring the famous glacier, we will return to Bajo Las Sombras port and head back to your hotel in El Calafate, arriving after 12 hours.
