Walking across an ice field is a unique experience. Join us on our Perito Moreno Glacier Hike & Boat Trip for an unforgettable day in Los Glaciares National Park.

Hike & Boat Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate and set off westbound along National Route 11. After a 1-hour journey, we will arrive at the Bajo las Sombras port. From here, we will embark on a boat trip through Los Glaciares National Park.

We will spend 20 minutes sailing through the southern part of Lake Argentino in the area of Brazo Rico, before disembarking at the shore. Next, we will put on our crampons and begin a 4-hour hike on the south face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, observing blue lagoons, deep crevasses, and large sinkholes.

During the hike, there will be several stops to admire the Dos Picos, Pietrobelli, and Cervantes mountains. You will have 30 minutes of free time to relax on the snow; please bring your packed lunch.

After lunch, we will hike for 1 hour to the shore of Lake Argentino. Following this, we will sail just over 4 miles (7 km) to the footbridges of the Perito Moreno. After visiting the glacier, we will return to Bajo Las Sombras port and then your hotel in El Calafate, arriving back after approximately 12 hours.
