Kayaking on the Santa Cruz River

Your adventure begins at 9 am when we pick you up from your accommodation in El Calafate. We will then travel in a 4x4 vehicle to the shores of the Santa Cruz River, where kayaks await to kick-start our exploration.

Prior to setting off on our aquatic expedition, a briefing on essential safety precautions will be provided, accompanied by practical instruction on how to properly paddle to ensure a smooth adventure.

After roughly an hour and a half of paddling, you'll be surrounded by the breathtaking vistas of the Santa Cruz River. During this time, we will delve into the diverse fauna that inhabits this spectacular part of Argentinean Patagonia. You’ll hear captivating stories from Charles Darwin's explorations in the area, enriching your understanding of its historical significance.

We will make a stop at El Rincón estancia, where you will disembark from the kayaks to enjoy a wholesome lunch by the riverside—an ideal way to rejuvenate. The meal features provocleta with tomatoes, salad, beef filet, and a delightful chocolate mousse, paired with a refreshing beverage.

Following our meal, we will hop back into the 4x4 vehicle and conclude the tour with a return to your hotel by 2 pm.
