Lago del Desierto Trip

Pickup from your hotel is at 10 am for the trip to Lago del Desierto. The journey takes just over one hour with stops to admire the landscapes of Patagonia.

Upon arrival at Lago del Desierto, you have approximately five hours of free time for exploration. You can choose to navigate the lake on a tourist boat or hike to the top of the Huemul Glacier. Staying at the shore offers views of Mount Fitz Roy, which rises 11,000 feet. The area features abundant vegetation, including white oaks and Antarctic beeches.

After five hours, the return trip to your hotel begins, with an expected arrival time of around 5:30 pm.

Boat ride

A 45-minute boat trip around Lago del Desierto is available, with tickets purchased in cash upon arrival at the lake for 16000 ARS.

Boat departure times: In January and February, departures are at 12 pm and 2 pm; in March and from November to December, departures are at 12 pm.

Hike

To hike along the Huemul Glacier, a hiking route access fee of 600 ARS must be paid in cash. The round trip spans 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) and takes about an hour and a half.
