Discover the amazing Lago del Desierto at your own pace when you take this fantastic trip from El Chaltén. Besides seeing the vast lake and the beautiful forests and mountains that surround it, you'll also have the opportunity to take a hike across the Huemul Glacier.

Lago del Desierto Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel at 10 am before heading towards Lago del Desierto. During the road trip of just over one hour, we'll make some stops to admire the landscapes of Patagonia.

Once we arrive at Lago del Desierto, you'll have approximately five hours of free time to explore the area as you wish. You can choose to navigate the lake onboard one of the tourist boats or enjoy a hike up to the Huemul Glacier.

If you decide to stay at the shores of the lake, you'll have a panoramic view of Mount Fitz Roy. As you stroll around Lago del Desierto, you'll see abundant vegetation of the Patagonian forests, characterized by white oaks and Antarctic beeches.

After about five hours of exploring the landscapes, we'll take you back to your hotel, arriving around 5:30 pm.
