La Restinga Dolphin & Whale Watching

If you'd like to see incredible marine animals in their natural habitat, then you'll love our La Restinga Dolphin & Whale Watching activity. We'll sail through the Mar de las Calmas in search of the wildlife that thrives south of El Hierro.

La Restinga Dolphin & Whale Watching

At 2 pm, we'll meet on Calle Los Saltos in La Restinga and head to the port. We'll board a boat and start cruising through the seas south of El Hierro.

During the boat trip, we'll explore the Mar de las Calmas Marine Reserve and admire El Hierro's volcanic coastline. We'll look for the numerous dolphin and whale families that live in this area. If we're lucky, we'll be able to spot pilot whales, dolphins and even beaked whales close up.

We'll use specialised equipment to listen to the sounds made by these animals underwater. You'll also learn facts about their language and lifestyle.

Before returning to dry land, we'll stop at Alcuzas Beach where you can take a dip in the water.

Our activity will finish at 5:15 pm at the La Restinga Harbour.
