Pago de La Jaraba Estate Tour

On this visit to the Pago de La Jaraba estate in Villarrobledo, participants will tour the winery, cheese factory, and oil mill, culminating in a tasting of wines, cheeses, and oils from the La Mancha region.

Description

Participants will meet at the main entrance of the Pago de La Jaraba estate to begin a guided tour of its facilities.

The tour will commence with an introduction about the origin and history of La Jaraba, followed by a walk through the vineyards surrounding Villarrobledo. A stop at a typical La Mancha mill will precede a visit to the olive grove.

The next part of the tour includes the livestock area to observe the Manchego sheep, known for their excellent milk used in various dairy products. This will lead to the La Jaraba cheese factory to witness the production of Manchego cheeses.

Following the cheese factory, participants will visit the oil mill to learn about the process of making olive oil, a key element of Mediterranean cuisine. After this, the tour will proceed to the La Jaraba winery to explore the details of Pago wines, recognized for their high quality under the Protected Designation of Origin.

The guided tour, lasting between 2.5 and 3 hours, will conclude with a tasting of Manchego wines, cheeses, and oils.
