Take a trip back to the 15th century as you tour the seafaring town where Christopher Columbus prepared his second voyage to America. This tour highlights the role of El Puerto de Santa Maria in trade with the New World.

Description

Join us at the Plaza de Toros de El Puerto de Santa María. We will begin by walking along the Guadalete River's banks, discussing its significance in trade between Spain and the New World. As we continue, we will explore El Puerto de Santa Maria's notable sites, including the old pier and fish market, and examine historical ducal and royal customs.

Next, we will proceed to the Iglesia Mayor Prioral located in Plaza de España, built during the dukes of Medinaceli's peak, alongside other paramount structures in the area.

Finally, we will visit the Aranibar Palace, the oldest house of shippers to the Indies preserved in El Puerto.

After two hours of exploring this segment of Spanish history, our journey will conclude where we began.
