On this guided tour of El Romeral, you'll journey through three key locations that provide a glimpse into La Mancha's rich culture, including Spain's best-preserved Cervantine windmill.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Esparto Museum, the first stop on our guided tour of El Romeral.
The esparto grass culture illustrates the lifestyles of Spanish families across various historical periods. Part of this museum is located within a traditional Manchegan house dug into the earth, an Intangible Heritage of Humanity site.
Next, we'll visit Crestería Manchega, home to Spain's best-preserved windmill. Inside, we'll observe the four iconic windmills that characterize the landscape, reminiscent of the era of Don Quixote.
We will continue to the Ethnographic Museum, situated in a small subway house, where we'll view various scenes and artifacts displaying the way of life in the past.
After an hour of exploring history and culture, the tour will conclude.
