On this guided tour of El Romeral, you'll journey through three key locations that provide a glimpse into La Mancha's rich culture and witness Spain's best-preserved Cervantine windmill.
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Esparto Museum, the first stop on our guided tour of El Romeral.
The esparto grass culture reflects the lifestyles of Spanish families through different historical periods. Part of this museum is housed within a traditional Manchegan house dug into the earth, recognized as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity site.
Next, we'll visit the notable Crestería Manchega, where you'll find Spain's best-preserved windmill. Inside, you can observe the four iconic windmills that dot the plain, reminiscent of the era of Don Quixote.
We will then proceed to the Ethnographic Museum, located in a small subway house. This venue offers various scenes and artifacts that depict the way of life in the past.
After an hour of exploring history and culture, we will conclude the tour.
