Culinary Workshop and Wine Tasting
At your selected time, go to Bodegas Monje in the north of Tenerife, where your chef will await you for this culinary workshop. Over the course of 1.5 hours, you'll discover the secret to the traditional spicy mojo sauce (mojo picón) and learn to make other mojos with a base of cilantro, parsley, and pumpkin. Take notes to recreate this dish at home.
At the end of the workshop, taste your culinary creations with papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes), one of the most typical Canarian dishes. The sauces will be accompanied by three different types of wine, toasted bread, and local spreads including mantequilla de berros (watercress butter), almogrote (cheese, garlic and tomato-based spread), and chorizo palmero (Canarian chorizo).
Then, the group will go on a 45-minute guided tour of the bodegas. Your guide will cover the history of the Monje family, show the extensive vineyards, and visit the old barrel cellar from 1956. This offers a complete gastronomic experience.
After a total of 2.5 hours immersed in Tenerife's culinary scene, the activity will conclude.
