Do you want to visit Elvas' old town in the most exclusive way? Then, this is the perfect tour for you - you'll have an English-speaking guide just for you and your partner, family, or friends to explore this impressive fortified city!

Elvas Private Tour

At the selected time, we'll meet at Praça da República and start a walking tour to visit the main monuments and landmarks in Elvas. Are you ready? Let's go!

On this tour, we'll admire the facades and exteriors of iconic buildings such as the church of the Dominican Sisters, the synagogue, the cathedral, the castle of Elvas, or the aqueduct of Amoreira. Since this is a private tour, you can modify the itinerary if you wish. We can stop at locations that interest you and discuss their history.

Exploring the impressive walls surrounding this Portuguese city is essential. They were declared a World Heritage Site. The construction of these defensive barriers began in the 17th century, following the independence of Portugal.

The private tour will also include a visit to the Ameixas factory museum in Elvas, known for producing candied plums. We'll learn about the creation process, including a 500-year-old recipe, and enjoy a tasting at the end of the tour.

After three and a half hours, we'll return to the initial meeting point, concluding this guided tour.
