At the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen, you will discover the crafts and traditions of the Netherlands at the beginning of the 20th century. The museum features a real open-air setting with 140 houses, shops, and buildings that house workshops for various crafts such as candle making, basket making, and rope making. As you navigate through the area, you will see how a traditional Dutch mill operates and taste smoked herring produced in a typical fish factory.

Walking through this reconstructed village, you will see individuals in typical costumes of the time, including characteristic clogs, and observe children engaged in traditional Dutch games, giving you a sense of stepping back in time. Additionally, your ticket includes a 10-minute ferry ride from the main museum pavilion.
