Explore Herculaneum
We'll start this private tour of Herculaneum at the ticket office at the specified time. Prepare to travel back to the Ancient Roman Empire.
In 79 AD, the volcano Vesuvius erupted, causing lava and rocks to spread across towns such as Pompeii and Herculaneum. The remains of Herculaneum can be visited today at this archaeological site, revealing main buildings hidden for centuries under ash.
We will begin by exploring the ancient North Street and continue around the ruins of significant buildings. We will also visit hallways and public spaces like the amphitheatre.
Along our route, we will discover various ancient sites, including Neptune's House, the Temple of Augustus, the House of the Deer, and Casa dello Scheletro.
After a 2-hour guided tour, we will return to the meeting point, allowing you the option to continue exploring the site independently.
