Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the entrance to the Fuocomuorto Winery, situated a few minutes from the archaeological site of Herculaneum. The winery is located within the Vesuvius National Park, between the volcano's slopes and the Mediterranean Sea.

The tour will begin with a visit to the winery's terraced vineyards, offering views of the Gulf of Naples. During this time, we will discuss various grape varieties and the characteristics of the volcanic soil.

Next, we will explore a natural cave in the winery. This cave, formed by volcanic lava post-1780 eruption, will provide insight into the ageing of wines. We will also learn about the wine-making family's history and view historical grape pressing tools.

The tour concludes with a tasting of 3 wines: a Vesuvio Lacryma Christi red and white, along with an extra dry sparkling rosé. A selection of local products will accompany the tasting, including a charcuterie and cheese board, homemade preserves, and Neapolitan sweets.

The total duration of the tour is 2 hours.
