Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the entrance to the Fuocomuorto Winery, a family-run establishment located a short distance from the archaeological site of Herculaneum. The winery is situated within the Vesuvius National Park, nestled between the volcano's slopes and the Mediterranean Sea.

The tour will begin with a visit to the winery's terraced vineyards, offering views of the Gulf of Naples. During this part, you will learn about the grape varieties and the characteristics of the volcanic soil.

Next, we'll visit a natural cave within the winery, formed by volcanic lava after the 1780 eruption. Here, we will discuss the ageing of wines and learn about the history of the wine-making family, along with historical grape pressing tools.

The tour will conclude with a tasting of 3 wines: a Vesuvio Lacryma Christi red and white, and an extra dry sparkling rosé. Additionally, we will have a tasting of local products, including a charcuterie and cheese board, homemade preserves, and Neapolitan sweets.

The entire experience lasts a total of 2 hours.
