When you make your reservation you can choose between a 13-kilometer (8-mile) or a 22-kilometer (14-mile) rafting route. An English-speaking instructor, the necessary equipment, and a snack or picnic lunch are included in both options.
Half-day rafting (3-4.5 hours)
From the base camp, we'll drive to the river. After a brief safety intro, we'll hop in the rafts. The 13km (8 mi) route takes about 2 hours and involves navigating class II and III rapids while enjoying the nature of the Andes Mountains.
The conclusion of this route is near the cement bridge crossing the Corcovado River, where we'll enjoy hot drinks, sponge cakes, and typical sweets called "facturas" before returning to base camp.
Departure times: 10 am and 2 pm
Full-day rafting (6-7.5 hours)
For the full-day option, we'll meet at the base camp and head to the Río Hielo area. After the safety intro, we'll begin the 22-kilometer (14-mile) rafting descent, lasting 4 hours and involving class III and IV rapids.
