Tour of Esquel and La Hoya

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel at 2:30 pm. We will embark on a one-hour scenic tour of Esquel, during which we will visit the key attractions of this enchanting Argentine town.

Our adventure kicks off with a drive past Esquel's City Hall and through the picturesque Plaza General San Martin. A brief stop will allow us to enjoy the Seion Chapel, an important landmark established by the first Welsh immigrants to Argentina. Have you ever wondered why they chose to settle in such a remote region of South America? We’ll uncover their story! The excursion concludes with a visit to the Melipal Cultural Center.

Next, we will head towards La Hoya, renowned for its ski activities and located just half an hour from Esquel. Here, a one-hour guided tour will take us across the ski slopes of this mountain, which rises to an impressive altitude of 1350 meters (4,500 feet) above sea level.

If you partake in this tour during the autumn-winter months, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. Conversely, if your visit occurs in spring or summer, the rugged beauty of the rocky terrain will be on full display.

After our excursion at La Hoya, we will return to your hotel in Esquel, with an expected arrival time of 4:30 pm.
