Los Alerces National Park Tour
After picking you up at your hotel in Esquel at 2:30 pm, we'll drive to Los Alerces National Park, located on the border between Argentina and Chile.
We'll start by crossing the Percey River via the "Puente de Fierro" (Iron Bridge), an old footbridge used historically by carters. The route follows the Terraplén and La Coqueta lagoons. Nearby, we'll see the majestic lake Futalaufquen and the village of the same name, featuring stone buildings designed by architect Alejandro Bustillo.
Next, we'll visit the Alero de Pinturas Rupestres, home to paintings over 1600 years old, reflecting Tehuelche culture. The tour continues to viewpoints near the Museum of Nature, where we will learn about local wildlife.
We will make brief stops at Futalaufquen lodge and Puerto Limonao to admire the surrounding lakes, mountains, valleys, and forests, exploring the heart of Patagonia.
Finally, we will depart for our return journey, arriving at your hotel in Esquel by 7:30 pm.
