Class Overview

We will convene at 287 Rue Oued El Makhazine, adjacent to the taxi stand, at the designated hour. Are you ready to explore the unique flavors of Morocco? Let's get started!

Our journey will take us to the Haha Hills, a stunning area nestled in the Essaouira countryside, abundant with argan trees. During our trip through the southern reaches of Essaouira, we might just catch sight of the iconic goats climbing the trees.

Upon arrival, we will make a stop at a souk to select fresh ingredients essential for our cooking. With our items in hand, we will proceed to a local home featuring a genuine Amazigh kitchen equipped with traditional tools for preparing a variety of delicious dishes.

Two wonderful women will guide us through the process of making Amazigh flatbread: from grinding barley to the moment it bakes to perfection. We will also delve into the art of preparing couscous in a traditional clay pot. You will gain insights into the key components of these exquisite Amazigh meals. Additionally, we will create vegetable and goat meat tajin, seasoned with olive oil and Moroccan spices.

To cap off this delightful experience, you will have the pleasure of tasting the delicious meals you've crafted yourself. If the weather permits, we'll savor our lunch outdoors, enveloped by the beauty of nature. Following our meal, we will unwind with some fresh herbal tea. Simply delightful!

Before concluding our excursion, you will have the chance to visit an argan oil cooperative to understand the production process of this remarkable oil.

After a full 7 hours of culinary exploration together, we will conclude our adventure and bid farewell back at our meeting point.
