Discover Amazigh cuisine by attending this Moroccan cooking class in a traditional village near Essaouira.

Class Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at 287 Rue Oued El Makhazine, next to the taxi rank. We will head towards Haha Hills in the Essaouira countryside, where it is likely to see the famous goats up in the trees.

Upon arrival, we'll visit a souk to gather fresh ingredients for our dishes. We will then proceed to a local house, specifically an authentic Amazigh kitchen equipped with traditional utensils for preparing meals.

Two women will guide us in making Amazigh flatbread, from grinding barley to baking. We will also learn to make couscous in a classic clay pot and a vegetable and goat meat tajin with olive oil and Moroccan spices.

After preparing the dishes, you'll have the opportunity to try the delicious meals. If weather permits, we will have lunch outdoors in nature, followed by fresh herbal tea.

Before returning to Essaouira, we will visit an argan oil cooperative to learn about its production. Finally, after 7 hours, we will conclude the tour and say our goodbyes back at the meeting point.
