Overnight Desert Camel Trek

One of the most popular activities in Morocco is to explore the Sahara Desert on a camel and spend a night in a Berber tent under the stars, starting from Merzouga.

Description

Day 1

Begin your journey by riding a camel into the sanduynes from Merzouga. Experience the traditional Bedouin way of travel during a one-hour ride and capture photos of the sunset over the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Upon arrival at the desert camp, enjoy Moroccan mint tea and explore the dunes on foot before a Moroccan dinner and a traditional Berber music performance.

Day 2

Wake up to an early sunrise and savor a healthy breakfast. After a shower, ride your camel back to Merzouga, arriving in the morning.

Duration

The tour includes one night's accommodation and varies by season:
October 1st to April 15th: Departure at 4:30 PM, duration 17 hours.April 15th to June 30th: Departure at 6 PM, duration 15 hours.July 1st to September 30th: Departure at 6:45 PM, duration 14 hours.
