Eze Guided Tour

We'll begin our guided tour through Eze, starting from the town's fortified gate dating back to the 14th century. Here, we'll pause to appreciate the Eze coat of arms bearing the inscription "Isis Moriendo Renascor," which translates to "I was reborn when I died." We'll explore the significance of these words as we enter the Old Town of this Provençal city in Cote d'Azur.

Leaving behind the city entrance, our journey takes us to Place du Planet, and from there, we'll continue to Château des Riquiers. Here, we'll find the Town Hall and the History Museum, showcasing a variety of tools, clothing, weapons, and documents, enriching the historical aspect of the tour.

Our next stop takes us to the Santa Cruz Chapel, which dates back to the 12th century. Inside, we'll enjoy a collection of frescoes and statues alongside a 1515 altarpiece painted by Luis Brea.

Continuing our route, we'll arrive at the Exotic Garden of Eze, home to over 400 species of plants and cacti. The garden features statues of various goddesses by renowned sculptor Philippe Richard. We will admire panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the French Riviera from this elevated location.

After 1.5 hours of walking through the gardens and Eze, we'll conclude our guided tour with a visit to the neoclassical Notre-Dame de l'Assomption Church, dating from the 18th century.
