If you're in Fajardo and you like roast pork, don't miss this excursion to Guavate, the most popular stop on Puerto Rico's famous Ruta del Lechón!

Guavate Excursion

At the specified time, we will pick you up in front of the CVS Pharmacy in Fajardo and travel towards Caguas, situated south of San Juan in the central mountain range of Puerto Rico.

We will make a brief stop at the Plaza del Centenario to learn about the history of the municipality. Following this, we will visit Charco Azul, a natural pool where you will have about an hour of free time to swim.

Next, we will head to Guavate, a district in Cayey, where we will embark on a guided tour through its streets, surrounded by the lush vegetation of the Puerto Rican jungle.

Guavate is legendary for its lechoneras, restaurants specializing in roast pork, a significant culinary attraction in Puerto Rico. It is the most popular destination on the Ruta del Lechón, filled with eateries serving this local delicacy.

It is essential to try the roast pork! We recommend using your free time to sample it on your own at one of the many lechoneras available.

Finally, we will regroup in the center of Guavate to return to Fajardo, with an estimated arrival at the meeting point scheduled for 8-9 hours after pickup.
