Discover the villages around Caxias do Sul on this excursion to Imigrante, Estrela, and Colinas. We'll visit places like a bee farm, a cactus nursery, and a convent built by Dutch friars.

Day Trip to Imigrante, Estrela, & Colinas

At 7 am we'll pick you up at your hotel in Caxias do Sul and travel to Imigrante, one of the surrounding towns that we'll visit during this excursion.

Once in Imigrante, we'll begin exploring the local beekeeping practices, focusing on stingless bee breeding practiced by residents. Tasting of local products will be included.

Next, we'll head to Estrela and visit the Berwagner still, associated with a prominent family. We'll learn about the European immigration to Estrela in earlier centuries.

Afterward, we will proceed to Colinas to explore the House of Artisans and Colonial Products, which specializes in jams, spices, and handicrafts. You will have an hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

Post-lunch, we'll return to Imigrante to visit the Horst cactus nursery, the largest greenhouse of its kind in Latin America. We'll also tour the Boaventura convent, designed in the style of Dutch monasteries in the 1940s, featuring a unique medieval-style chapel.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Caxias do Sul at 7:30 pm.
