Day Trip to Imigrante & Guaporé
On this day trip, we'll explore the landscapes of Rio Grande do Sul, travel on the Tren Dos Vales, and learn about the history of immigration to Brazil.
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Caxias do Sul and set off toward Imigrante, a town formed by descendants of German and Italian immigrants.
We'll tour this village visiting points of interest, such as the Horst nursery, the largest cactus greenhouse in Latin America, and the Boaventura convent, built by Dutch friars in the style of European Franciscan monasteries.
You'll have a break for lunch on your own before we continue to Muçum to board the famous Train dos Vales. The train journey will last two hours and will take us through the Linha do Trigo (Wheat Line), passing tunnels and Viaduct 13, the highest in Brazil.
Upon arriving in Guaporé, you’ll have free time for shopping at the Belas Guaporé shopping center. After a full day, we will return to Caxias do Sul, approximately twelve and a half hours after the tour starts.
