On this day trip to Imigrante and Guaporé, we'll explore the landscapes of Rio Grande do Sul, travel on the Tren Dos Vales, and learn about the history of immigration to Brazil.
Day Trip to Imigrante & Guaporé
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Caxias do Sul and set off toward Imigrante, a town formed by descendants of German and Italian immigrants.
We'll tour this village and see its main points of interest, including the Horst nursery, the largest cactus greenhouse in Latin America, and the Boaventura convent, built by Dutch friars in the style of European Franciscan monasteries.
Before continuing, we'll stop for lunch on your own, after which we will head to the city of Muçum to board the Train dos Vales. This two-hour trip will take us through the Linha do Trigo (Wheat Line), passing through tunnels and Viaduct 13, the highest in Brazil.
Upon arrival in Guaporé, you'll have free time for shopping at the Belas Guaporé shopping center. After a full day, we will return to Caxias do Sul, twelve and a half hours after the start of the tour.
