On this day trip to Morro Reuter and Ivoti, we'll follow the famous Romantic Road from Caixas do Sul. We'll explore German and Japanese heritage in Brazil.

Day Trip Details

We'll start this day trip after picking you up from your hotel in Caixas do Sul to begin our adventure along part of Romantic Road. Our first destination is Morro Reuter, a village colonized by Germans in the 19th century. Upon arrival, we'll visit the Lavandário do Morro to enjoy lavender fields. Following this, we will explore the Parque de Mosaicos Caminho das Serpentes, where various artworks and a woodcut exhibition are displayed.

Next, we'll visit a ceramics workshop and a monument dedicated to books. After this cultural exploration, you will have some free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

We will then move to Ivoti, stopping first at the Japanese Colony and the Colony Memorial to learn about the Japanese settlement in the 1960s. Upon reaching Ivoti, the city’s German influence will be evident in its architecture. If it’s the weekend, you can enjoy the arts, culture, and food fair, along with some free time for an afternoon coffee.

Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel in Caxias do Sul after a total of approximately 10 hours.
