Embark on a 6-day journey from Istanbul to Ankara, where you will explore captivating historical towns such as Saratli, Uçhisar, Göreme, Konya, Pamukkale, and Ephesus. This trip offers a comprehensive view of Turkey's rich history and culture.

6-Day Journey Overview

Day 1: Istanbul – Ankara

Your adventure begins with a pickup at your chosen meeting point, followed by a comfortable bus ride towards Ankara, Turkey's capital situated 450 kilometers from Istanbul. A highlight of the trip will be the crossing of the grand Bosphorus Bridge.

After a five-hour ride, you'll check into your hotel. Indulge in a delightful dinner before settling into your room for a restful night.

Day 2: Ankara, Saratli, and Cappadocia

Start your day with a delectable Turkish breakfast, after which we'll begin our exploration of the capital. The guided tour will take you to some of Ankara’s iconic sights, including the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which houses impressive collections of ancient artifacts. You'll also visit An?tkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president of Turkey.

Next, depart from the capital towards Cappadocia, with a stop at Saratli. This intriguing Underground City was established by Christian communities for their protection against historical threats. During your visit, you’ll wander through its well-preserved structures, including old stables and communal areas.

After approximately three hours on the road, you will arrive in Cappadocia in the late afternoon, where dinner awaits at your hotel.

Day 3: Cappadocia

Begin your day with a nutritious breakfast before we discover the breathtaking landscapes of Cappadocia, a region renowned for its unique geological formations and captivating scenery.

On your guided tour, you will explore Göreme, known for its ancient rock-cut churches and vibrant frescoes from the tenth and eleventh centuries. We'll also visit Uçhisar, a nearby troglodyte village, followed by scenic views in the Monks Valley, famous for its striking fairy chimneys, and the picturesque Derbent Valley.

After marveling at Cappadocia's beauty, you'll return to the hotel for the evening.

Day 4: Pamukkale

After enjoying breakfast, we continue our journey to Pamukkale. On our way, a stop will be made at the Sultanhan Caravanserai, which dates back to the Seleucid era.

In Pamukkale, take the time to explore the renowned “Cotton Castle” at your own pace. This unique natural wonder features stunning terraces and pools formed by mineral-rich waters. Swimming is currently not permitted, but photography opportunities abound.

After a busy day of exploring, return to your hotel for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 5: Ephesus and ?zmir

After breakfast, board the bus heading to Ephesus, a city that once honored the goddess Artemis.

Upon arrival at this historical gem, approximately four hours away, you will visit various noteworthy sites including the Odeon, Temple of Hadrian, House of Love, Library of Celsus, Agora, Theatre, and Marble Street. You’ll also have the opportunity to see the House of the Virgin Mary, the historical site of her last residence.

On the way to ?zmir, we'll make a stop at a leather factory to explore local craftsmanship.

Once in ?zmir, Turkey's third largest city, you'll check into your hotel where dinner will be provided, followed by a night’s rest.

Day 6: ?zmir

After breakfast, if you have booked the tour concluding in ?zmir, you can enjoy the entire day at your leisure.

Alternatively, if you selected the return option to Istanbul, you'll prepare to travel back by plane or bus. Note that the bus from ?zmir to Istanbul typically arrives around 5 PM, taking approximately 6 to 7 hours, depending on traffic.

The price is listed per person based on double or triple occupancy, with additional fees applying for solo travelers. Reduced rates for children are applicable when sharing a room with two adults.
