Details of the Day Trip

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Istanbul, followed by a transfer to the designated airport where you'll board one of the earliest flights to Izmir, Turkey's third-largest city. In approximately 60 minutes, we will arrive at our destination.

Upon landing, we will hop into a vehicle to transport us to Ephesus. Our initial visit will be to the House of the Virgin Mary, believed to be the final home of Jesus Christ's mother. Curiosity surrounds this site, and you will discover why. The building's impressive preservation is a testament to the restorations it has undergone over time.

Next, we will explore the ruins of Ephesus, a city once devoted to Artemis, including the famed Odeon. Here, you will see remnants of the Temple of Hadrian, the House of Love, the Library of Celso, the Agora of Smyrna, the Marble Road, and the Theatre. This vast open-air museum provides a window into life during Roman rule in Europe.

After a delightful buffet lunch, our visit will continue at the Temple of Artemis, known today primarily for its ruins found nestled among trees, honoring the Roman goddess. This structure is recognized as one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. While at this historic site, we will discuss its importance to the people of Ephesus.

You will also uncover the cultural amalgamation present in this region, highlighted by the Isa Bey Mosque, a stunning religious edifice marked by its remarkable marble facade.

Finally, we will return to the airport in Izmir for our flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, a drop-off at your hotel will conclude the day.
