Day Trip Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Istanbul, we will head to the airport you have selected to board one of the first flights to Izmir, which takes about 60 minutes.
Upon arrival, we will take a vehicle to Ephesus, with our first stop at the House of the Virgin Mary, the believed last residence of the mother of Jesus Christ. You'll learn about its preservation and significance.
Next, we will visit the ruins of Ephesus, dedicated to Artemis, including the Odeon, Temple of Hadrian, House of Love, Library of Celso, Agora of Smyrna, Marble Road, and the Theatre. This open-air museum reflects the Roman Empire's influence.
Following a buffet-style lunch, we'll proceed to the Temple of Artemis, largely in ruins and considered one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. We will discuss its significance to the citizens of Ephesus.
You will also see how various cultures blend, demonstrated by the Isa Bey Mosque, which features an impressive marble facade.
Finally, we will return to the airport in Izmir for your flight back to Istanbul, where we will drop you off at your hotel.
