This skip-the-line tour of Hagia Sophia is designed to help you explore one of Istanbul's key monuments, essential for understanding the city's history.

Hagia Sophia Tour

We will meet at the Hippodrome of Constantinople at the designated time. This tour will provide insight into Hagia Sophia's history while appreciating its exterior beauty. The structure includes four minarets and a dome with a diameter of more than 30 metres (98 ft), marking it as an Istanbul symbol.

The tour will cover architectural details, lighting, and the main hall, along with its impressive mosaics. After an hour outside, you'll enter the temple with a skip-the-line ticket without a live guide, using an audioguide available in English. The tour will highlight the transformation of Hagia Sophia from a Greek Orthodox church to a mosque in the mid-15th century, its later status as a museum, and its reversion to a mosque in 2020. Following your visit, you can address any questions to the guide outside the mosque.

Audioguide

Due to local regulations, the guide will not accompany you inside. You will enter independently, using the audioguide in English for explanations.

Hagia Sophia attracts over 3.5 million visitors annually. This reservation allows you to bypass long ticket office lines, though a queue for security control may still occur, potentially lasting up to an hour during peak season.
