Pedra Alta & Pontinha Viewpoints Hike

Reservation options include hotel pickup and a Portuguese-speaking guide. Both routes require a reservation with ICMBio.

4-hour Route

Pickup from your hotel in Fernando de Noronha occurs at the specified time, followed by travel to Vila do Trinta to commence the hike. The route along the coast of Mar de Fora spans approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km), leading to renowned viewpoints. Participants will enjoy views of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago and its geographical features, suitable for photography. The hike includes stops at natural pools for swimming and exploring marine biodiversity, concluding at Caieira Beach before returning to the hotel.

5-hour Route

After hotel pickup, a 3.1-mile (5 km) walk to Vila do Trinta begins. A stop at Atalaia Beach allows for instructions on environmentally respectful exploration and snorkeling. The hike continues to the viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha for further scenic views and visits to other natural pools, ending at Caieira Beach before returning to the hotel.

ICMBio Reservation

Reservations with ICMBio (Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation) are necessary and must be made in person at the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park entrance, at the Visitor Center ICMBio / TAMAR - Vila do Boldró. The park is open daily from 4 pm to 7 pm, and online reservations are not permitted.
