Pedra Alta & Pontinha Viewpoints Hike

Reservations include hotel pickup and a Portuguese-speaking guide. Both options require a reservation with ICMBio.

4-hour Route

Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Fernando de Noronha and transported to Vila do Trinta to commence the hike to the viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha.

The path follows the coast of Mar de Fora for about 2.3 miles (3.7 km), passing various volcanic rocks until reaching the viewpoints.

Participants will enjoy views of the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha and will also stop at natural pools for a swim, concluding the trail at Caieira Beach before returning to the hotel.

5-hour Route

After hotel pickup, a 3.1-mile (5 km) walk to Vila do Trinta begins, with a stop at Atalaia Beach. The guide will provide instructions for snorkeling in the natural aquarium and for exploring the area responsibly.

Following this, the hike will continue to the viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha for stunning views, and participants will enjoy more swimming in natural pools before ending the hike at Caieira Beach and returning to the hotel.

ICMBio Reservation

To participate, you must make a reservation with ICMBio in person at the entrance of the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park. Reservations can be made at the Visitor Center ICMBio / TAMAR - Vila do Boldró. The park is open daily from 4 pm to 7 pm. Online reservations are not available.
