Hike to Pedra Alta & Pontinha Viewpoints

Upon making your reservation, you can select between the two outlined routes below. Both options feature pickup from your hotel and a knowledgeable guide fluent in Portuguese, and require a prior booking with ICMBio.

4-hour Hiking Option

We'll collect you from your hotel in Fernando de Noronha at the designated time. Our adventure begins as we travel to Vila do Trinta, where our hiking excursion to the viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha commences.

After gathering everyone, we’ll traverse a trail along the Mar de Fora coastline for approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km), encountering various volcanic rock formations until we reach the well-known viewpoints.

At each vantage point, the panoramic vistas of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago will captivate us, showcasing its natural splendour and diverse geographical characteristics—an excellent opportunity to fill your camera with unforgettable snapshots!

Throughout the hike, there will also be pauses at enchanting natural pools for a refreshing swim, allowing us to explore the rich marine diversity of the island.

As our dynamic day concludes, we will finish our trek at Caieira Beach. From there, you'll be transported back to your hotel.

5-hour Hiking Option

Following your pickup from the hotel in Fernando de Noronha, we will embark on a 3.1-mile (5 km) trek toward Vila do Trinta.

Our first stop will be Atalaia Beach, often described as a natural aquarium. Here, your guide will provide essential directions for exploring this pristine area while maintaining ecological integrity. You’ll also get the chance to enjoy the natural pool and witness the vibrant local marine life while snorkeling.

Continuing along the path, we will head to the breathtaking viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha, where sweeping views of Fernando de Noronha can be admired. Afterwards, we will visit additional natural pools with crystal-clear water for another refreshing swim.

The hiking experience will conclude back at Caieira Beach, where transportation will be arranged to return you to your hotel in Fernando de Noronha.
