Pedra Alta & Pontinha Viewpoints Hike

Upon reservation, you can select one of the routes below, both of which include hotel pickup and a Portuguese-speaking guide, and both require a reservation with ICMBio.

4-hour Route

Hotel pickup will occur at the scheduled time, leading to Vila do Trinta for the hiking route. The path follows the coast of Mar de Fora for approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km), featuring various volcanic rocks until the viewpoints are reached.

At the viewpoints, you will enjoy views of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago and have opportunities to photograph the area's natural beauty. The hike includes stops at several natural pools, allowing for swimming and exploration of marine biodiversity.

The trail concludes at Caieira Beach, after which you will be returned to your hotel.

5-hour Route

After hotel pickup, you'll walk 3.1 miles (5 km) to Vila do Trinta. A stop is made at Atalaia Beach, where snorkeling opportunities exist, along with instructions on preserving the environment.

The hike continues to the viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha, offering sweeping views before proceeding to additional natural pools for another swim.

The tour finishes at Caieira Beach, followed by a return to your hotel in Fernando de Noronha.

ICMBio Reservation

To participate, a reservation with ICMBio (Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation) is necessary, made in person by the visitor at the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park entrance, specifically at the Visitor Center ICMBio / TAMAR - Vila do Boldró. The park is open daily from 4 pm to 7 pm, and reservations cannot be made online.
