Pedra Alta & Pontinha Viewpoints Hike
When reserving, you can select one of the routes below. Both options include hotel pickup and a Portuguese-speaking guide, and both require a reservation with ICMBio.
4-hour Route
Pickup will be at your hotel in Fernando de Noronha, after which we'll head to Vila do Trinta to begin the hike through the viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha.
The hike covers approximately 2.3 miles (3.7 km) along the coast of Mar de Fora, leading to the viewpoints where we can admire the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha and its geographic features.
We will also stop at natural pools for swimming and discovering the island's marine biodiversity before concluding the hike at Caieira Beach and returning to your hotel.
5-hour Route
This route begins with a pickup at your hotel followed by a 3.1-mile (5 km) walk to Vila do Trinta.
We will first visit Atalaia Beach, where the guide will provide instructions for exploring the area. You'll have the chance to snorkel and enjoy the marine life in the natural pool.
Next, we'll hike to the viewpoints of Pedra Alta and Pontinha for more views before visiting additional natural pools for another swim. The tour concludes at Caieira Beach, and you'll be returned to your hotel.
ICMBio Reservation
To participate, you must reserve with ICMBio (Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation) in person at the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park, at the Visitor Center ICMBio / TAMAR - Vila do Boldró. The park operates daily from 4 pm to 7 pm. Online reservations are not available.
