Castle Voltaire Ticket

The ticket grants access to the residence of the philosopher during his last 20 years, originally known as Ferney. The neoclassical façade houses a museum dedicated to Voltaire, showcasing his daily life during the Age of Enlightenment. Visitors can view his private collection of artwork and explore his library and office, where he wrote significant works like Candide and Treatise on Tolerance.

A visit is incomplete without touring the stunning French-style gardens, which cover seven hectares, providing a serene environment away from modern life.

Castle Voltaire operates under the following hours:

April 1st to September 30th: from 10 am to 6 pmOctober 1st to March 31st: from 10 am to 5 pmOn December 24th and 31st: closes at 4 pm

Final admission is 45 minutes before closing.

Free Admission

Admission is free for the following individuals:

Young people from the European Union aged 18 to 25.Children under 18 years old, regardless of nationality.

To obtain the free admission, present a certifying document at the ticket office. Free entry is also available for all on the first Sunday of the month from January to March, November to December, and the third weekend of September.
