2 Day Morocco Desert Trip

Spend an unforgettable night in an Amazigh desert camp on a 2-day trip to the fields of golden dunes near the village of Merzouga.

Description

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

Leave Fez in the morning and head to the village of Merzouga. Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, known for its cedar woods and Barbary Apes. Admire Ifrane, noted for its architecture, and Azrou, a town in the Atlas.

After passing through the Ziz Valley and villages like Midelt and Erfoud, take a dirt road to Merzouga. Experience a camel ride at sunset and enjoy a Moroccan meal at a desert camp, where you'll stay in an Amazigh tent under the stars.

Day 2: Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fez

Wake early to see the sunrise from a dune. Return to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower (timing may vary). On the way back to Fez, visit Tafilalt and Rissani, known for its connection to the Alawite dynasty. Stop in the Azrou forests to see wild monkeys.

The tour concludes in Fez in the late evening.

Desert Camps

Choose from two camp categories: standard and luxury. Standard tents accommodate 4 people with shared bathrooms, while luxury tents fit 5 and include private facilities. A single supplement applies for single bookings or if someone requests a private room. Luxury tents have air conditioning available for an extra cost of 30EUR per person.
