3 Day Merzouga Desert Private Tour

The 3-day excursion to Merzouga from Fez offers an authentic Moroccan Sahara Desert experience.

Description

Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Erfoud - Merzouga

Depart Fez at 8 am and travel to Merzouga. Journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, observing cedar woods and wildlife. Visit Ifrane, known for its Swiss-style architecture, and the town of Azrou. Continue through the Ziz Valley, passing Midelt and Erfoud to reach Merzouga for the night at a desert hotel.

Day 2: Enjoying Merzouga Desert

Explore the Eastern Sahara in a 4x4, visiting nomad settlements and Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop in Khamlia to experience the cultural heritage of the Gnawa. In the evening, ride camels into the dunes to spend the night in a Berber tent.

Day 3: Rissani - Ziz Valley - Middle Atlas - Fez

Observe a sunrise from a dune, then return to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower. Travel back to Fez, stopping at Tafilalt and Rissani, the latter known for its historical significance. Feed wild monkeys in Azrou before concluding the tour in Fez by late afternoon.

Transport

Vehicle transport is provided in a Toyota Landcruiser, equipped with air-conditioning and an English-speaking chauffeur.
