Souks, Koranic schools, colourful gardens... On this guided tour of Fez, we'll discover the main attractions of the cultural capital of Morocco!
Description
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at the main gate of the Lycée Moulay Idriss. From there, we'll start a guided tour of Fez through the Medina's hidden monuments.
We'll begin at the Bab Bou Jeloud, known as the Blue Gate, the main entrance to the Medina. Then, we'll visit the Al-Attarine Madrasa, a key Koranic school. Nearby is the Bou Inania Madrasa, notable for its interior of stucco walls, wood, and tiles with geometric motifs.
Continuing on Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seguira, we’ll explore historical monuments. We will visit the Mausoleum of Mulay Idris, a sacred site in the Medina. Next, we’ll stop at the al-Qarawiyyin Mosque to discuss its historical significance as the site of the oldest university in the world.
As we wander through the Medina, we'll explore souks and ancient squares, including an Andalusian quarter. Our tour will conclude at the oldest tannery in the city: Sidi Moussa, followed by a visit to Seffarine Square, known for its boilermaker craftsmen.
After 3 hours, we'll end our guided tour of Fez in R'cif Square.
