Join us for a scenic sunset experience, where we'll discover Fez at its most enchanting hour. This journey will guide you through the highlights of this remarkable Moroccan city as twilight descends.

Description

We will gather at the designated meeting point, located at the main entrance to the Lycee Moulay Idriss. Here, our panoramic adventure in Fez will begin, unveiling the city's key landmarks under the evening sky. Let's embark on this memorable journey!

Our initial destination will be the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate, renowned for its striking blue facade. Were you aware that this gate serves as the principal gateway to the Medina of Fez?

Continuing on our route, we will board the bus to explore the Medina, where we'll disembark once more to visit its notable sites. As we pass by the Royal Palace of Fez, you will admire its splendid entrances. Fun fact: it ranks as one of Morocco's largest and oldest palaces. We will share intriguing stories and legends associated with this opulent structure.

The next highlight will be a visit to the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter of Fez. The name derives from the Arabic term for 'salt', a commodity of great significance in ancient times, often used as currency by the Jewish community. Here, we will delve into the history of this community while wandering through its narrow alleys, once home to impressive textile markets.

The excursion continues towards Borj Sud, where we will soak in one of the finest views of Fez set against the backdrop of a stunning sunset. Our next stop will be the potters' quarter, where the art of traditional Moroccan pottery is still practiced today. Here, we will also discuss Fez's historical significance as home to one of the first sewage systems established in the 10th century.

After an hour and a half of delightful exploration, we will conclude our tour back at the Bab Bou Jeloud Gate, marking the entrance to the vibrant Medina of Fez.
