Enjoy an unforgettable experience by spending a night in a traditional haima in the middle of the desert on this 2-day trip to the desert of Merzouga, which ends in Marrakech.

Merzouga Desert 2-Day Trip

Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Erfoud - Merzouga

After meeting in Fez or picking you up from your hotel, we will leave the city to venture into Morocco. We will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and pass by villages such as Ifrane and Azrou. Later, we will cross the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges until we reach Erfoud, where our journey through the desert to Merzouga begins.

In the evening, we will ride camels to our camp. Upon arrival, we'll have dinner under the moonlight and enjoy the vastness of the Moroccan desert at night.

Day 2: Merzouga - Rissani - Alni - Tizi N'Tfrkhin - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

We will wake up early to admire the sunrise in the Erg Chebbi desert. After this, we will ride camels to a hotel for breakfast and a shower (depending on the selected camp, these may occur prior to the camel ride).

After leaving the desert, we will journey to Marrakech, passing through the palm grove of Tafilalet and Rissani. We will then reach Alnif and travel through the Anti Atlas mountain range and Tizi N'tfarkhin, including Tinghir and the Dades Valley.

Around noon, we will stop in Klaat M'Gouna for Moroccan cuisine before continuing to Marrakech, arriving around 8:30 pm.

Alternative to Camel Ride On Day 2

An option to ride from the Erg Chebbi dunes to the tented camp is available. Preferential transport can be arranged by 4x4 for an additional fee of €65, payable on-site.

This tour features two camp categories: standard rooms with communal showers and superior rooms with private bathrooms and showers.

Hotel Pickup

Pickup includes hotels within the Medina. Pickup from outside the area is available for an additional charge.
