Join us for a cooking class in Fez to learn about ingredients for authentic Moroccan dishes.
Activity Options
When booking, you can choose between two options. Both start at the Palais Bab Sahra Fez restaurant and include an English-speaking guide, cooking ingredients, the prepared meal, coffee, and tea.
Cooking Class (1 Hour)
Participants will choose between three classic tagines: lemon chicken tagine, chicken with vegetables, or vegetables only. The class begins with placing ingredients in the tagine and cooking on low heat. Participants will learn to prepare traditional tea.
After the lesson, participants will enjoy tea with traditional pastries on the roof, admiring the medina of Fez. Finally, participants will savour their own tagine.
Schedule: this option runs at 12:30 pm and at 6:30 pm
Cooking Class & Souk Visit (4 Hours)
The first step includes collecting ingredients from a local souk in the medina. Participants will select fresh produce including meats, veggies, fruits, and spices.
Back at the restaurant, participants will wear aprons for the cooking class, focusing on different variations of classic tajin, like chicken and olives and meat and plums, along with making Moroccan tea.
After cooking, participants will sit down for a meal including fresh salad and seasonal fruit.
Schedule: this option runs at 12:30 pm, 4:30 pm, and at 6:30 pm
