Private Tour: 4 Days in the Sahara Desert

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga

Your chauffeur will collect you from your hotel and you will head to Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests. You will pass through Ifrane, known as “Morocco’s Little Switzerland,” and drive through Azrou, a famous Berber town. After traversing the Ziz Valley, you will reach Erfoud and travel on a dirt road to Merzouga, where you will spend the night in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 2: Enjoying the Erg Chebbi dunes

Spend the day exploring the Merzouga Desert. Use an off-roading vehicle to navigate the dunes, visit nomad hamlets, and admire oases. You will then visit Khamlia, known for its Gnawa folk music. In the evening, camel rides will take you into the dunes for a night in a Berber tent.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todgha Gorge – Ouarzazate

Awake early to witness the sunrise before returning to Merzouga for breakfast and a refreshing shower. Travel to Ouarzazate, passing Rissani and Tafilalet. Stop at the Todgha Gorge in Dades Valley, before continuing along the route of the thousand kasbahs, reaching Ouarzazate for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, known for its film history. On your way to Marrakech, cross a valley of almond trees and Berber hamlets. Climb Tizi n'Tichka mountain port at 2,260 meters, and enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal. Return to Marrakech after lunch.
