Aurland and Lærdal Valley Tour
At the specified time, we will meet at the Mall of Norway shopping centre. From there, we will board a minibus to explore the town of Aurland and the Lærdal Valley. The tour begins with a visit to the Stegastein viewpoint, where you can enjoy views of the Aurland fiord. This area features peaks over 1400 metres (4590 feet) classified as World Heritage Sites.
We will continue our journey through Aurlandsfjellet, characterized by its fiords and mountains, making several stops for photographs before reaching Lærdal Valley.
Upon arrival in Lærdalsøyri, a town from the Middle Ages known for one of Norway's largest markets, you'll see charming wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Next, we will visit the Borgund church, regarded as one of the best-preserved wooden churches in Norway. Its design reflects both Viking and Christian architecture. The visitor centre provides an opportunity to learn about its history and offers snacks and drinks.
Our return to Flåm includes a passage through the Lærdal tunnel, one of the longest in the world at 24.5 kilometres (15 miles).
After 5 hours of exploration, we will conclude the tour at the initial meeting point.
