Aurland and Lærdal Valley Tour
At the specified time, we will meet at the Mall of Norway shopping centre. We will board a minibus to explore Aurland and Lærdal Valley.
Our journey begins at the viewpoint in Stegastein, offering views of the Aurland fiord, recognized as one of the world's most spectacular. This area also features peaks over 1400 metres (4590 feet) tall, designated as World Heritage Sites.
Next, we will continue to admire Norwegian nature in Aurlandsfjellet, characterized by its fiords and mountains, with several stops for photos before entering Lærdal Valley.
We will then arrive in Lærdalsøyri, a small town dating back to the Middle Ages and home to one of Norway's largest markets. The town features charming wooden houses from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Our next stop is the Borgund church, noted for being one of the best-preserved wooden churches, showcasing Viking and Christian architecture. A visitor centre is available for further exploration and refreshments.
We will return to Flåm via the Lærdal tunnel, one of the longest in the world at 24.5 kilometres (15 miles) long.
Finally, after 5 hours of exploring, the tour will conclude at the initial meeting point.
