Fall in love with one of the jewels of the Italian Renaissance with this fantastic guided tour of Florence Cathedral. You'll learn all about one of the country's most famous cathedrals and visit the Misericordia Museum.

Florence Cathedral Guided Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Museo della Misericordia. From this point, we'll have priority access to the interior of Florence Cathedral, a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance and a World Heritage Site.

Inside, we will explore its origins, honoring Santa Maria del Fiore, the city's patron saint. The cathedral evolved from a small church in the 7th century to one of the largest Cathedrals in the world.

We will uncover architectural secrets and the art within. Highlights include Brunelleschi's dome, discussing the construction techniques and materials used.

The tour concludes with the impressive fresco by Vasari and Zuccaro depicting the Last Judgement, noted as the largest decorated surface using this painting technique.

Misericordia Museum

This activity includes a ticket for the Misericordia Museum, which can be visited in your own time after the Cathedral tour. The museum houses a significant collection related to Florentine history.
