Florence Cathedral Tour + Dome & Terraces
At the designated time, we'll meet on Via Camillo Cavour, 18, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy in Florence and stroll towards the Florence Cathedral.
Upon arrival, you'll bypass the queues and enter with your guide, who will explain the Cathedral's history and construction process during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, involving 150 years of design by Italy's architects.
Highlights include viewing The Last Judgement by Vasari and Zucari, a fresco on the dome's ceiling. After discussing its themes, we will walk through a narrow, open-air corridor, historically closed to the public, leading to a secret room. Here, you'll enjoy a bird's eye view of the Piazza del Duomo and admire Brunelleschi's Dome closely.
We will then visit the private "Circular Room" featuring ancient statues from the Duomo's façade. Before returning to ground level, you can use your skip-the-line ticket to explore the Duomo's interior and view the Last Judgement frescoes up close, with an option to climb to the top of Brunelleschi's Dome for 360-degree views of Florence.
