At the agreed time, we will meet in the Piazza Santa Croce. Here, we will observe the facade of the temple and proceed inside the basilica to begin our guided tour.

As we enter from the left side of the building, our guide will explain the artistic wealth within. We will view notable works of art, including a sculpture honoring the writer Giovanni Battista Niccolini.

The tour will cover the most significant chapels, featuring works by artists such as Giotto, known for his frescoes, and Donatello, creator of the large crucifix at the high altar. The Santa Croce Basilica is renowned for its artistic wealth, size, and as the final resting place of illustrious figures like Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo Galilei, and Rossini.

After exploring the main areas and the sixteen chapels, the guided tour of the Basilica of Santa Croce will conclude in the crypt and bell tower.
