Dive head first into Florence! Stroll through the streets on a guided tour as we explore the impact of the famous Medici family on the city's architecture.

Tour Details

Meet us in the central Piazza della Reppublica for our guided walking tour of Florence. We begin by delving into the history associated with the Medicis.

Our knowledgeable guide will outline the city's prehistoric origins and its significance to Etruscan culture. Our first stop is Piazza della Signoria, next to Palazzo Vecchio, two key architectural examples of the Medicis' legacy.

Next, we proceed to the Duomo, Florence's Cathedral, comprising the Baptistry and Giotto's Campanile. These structures, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, were funded by Cosimo Medici. Our guide will highlight the "Gates of Paradise" and its historical significance.

We will then visit Orsanmichele, a church that started as a grain market and later became a worship site for powerful guilds. Our last stop will be Santa Trinita Church, formerly a Roman Catholic Church, notable for the Column of Justice, a gift to Cosimo de Medici from Pope Pius IV.

After 1.5 hours of exploring the rich historical narrative of this iconic city, we will conclude the tour.
